Online Application Form available on our website www.kimsuniversity.in can be submitted within the stipulated time as per the following instructions :

Relevant and complete information and data entry is to be made in the Online Application Format by the candidate to download the application form.

The downloaded application form must have the recent color photograph of the candidate, signature of the candidate, left thumb impression, signature of candidate’s parent/guardian. Incomplete forms will not be accepted.

Online submitted forms will be accepted only after receiving the hard copy of the application form
and the Demand Draft of Rs. 3000/-.
Candidates will know the status of application through student login.
The candidate should clearly mention the choice of subject on the Application Form.


The admit card will indicate the Roll No. of candidate.

In case a candidate does not obtain the Admit Card (Hall Ticket) before the stipulated date, he/she should contact University Office immediately. Arrangements will be made for the issue of duplicate Admit cards at the ‘Help Desk’. In such a situation, candidate should bring two identical copies of his/her photographs which are affixed to application form along with his/her proof of submission/posting of online printed application form or college identity card or photocopy of the submitted application form. In case no proof is submitted duplicate Admit Card will not be issued.
  • 1.Competent Authority means Controller of Examinations, Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences University, Karad - 415110.
  • 2. Appropriate Institution means Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences University, where the Post Graduate courses in Medical faculty are available.
  • 3. Internship means 12 months compulsory rotating internship after passing the MBBS examination as per the norms laid down by the Medical Council of India.
  • 4. Recognized qualification means the Degree of MBBS obtained from any Medical College or Institution in India, recognized by the Medical Council of India.
  • 5. Registration means registration of MBBS qualification with the State Medical Council/Medical Council of India after completion of internship.


Any legal matters arising out of the admission procedure of the PG courses through All India Entrance Test of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences Deemed University, will be subject to Jurisdiction of the competent court in Karad, District-Satara and the Hon’ble High court of Judicature at Mumbai as the case may be, with advance legal notice of one month to KIMSDU.


Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences Deemed University has not authorized any individual as agent or agency to deal with the admission. The university will not be responsible for any activity of such individual agents / agencies.
It should also be noted that the contents of the prospectus are subject to changes as the university may deem fit. Changes if any, shall be notified on the web site of the university.


The admission to PG courses shall be done as per the relevant Rules and Bye-laws of the University.

  • 1. Candidates must obtain 50% or more marks at PGM AIET to qualify for admission.
  • 2. The provisional selection for the General seats in the Post Graduate courses will be done on the basis of merit in the Post Graduate Medical All India Entrance Test-2016.
  • 3. Management Seats : 50% of the seats are reserved for management seats. The selection of candidates for management seats will be done according to the inter se merit of the applicants in the entrance test (PGM-AIET-2016)

2 Marks : Maximum marks : 300
3 Questions: : 300 objective type Multiple choice questions (MCQs). Each MCQ will have four answer options and a single best response.
4 Negative Marking : There will be no negative marking.
5 Standard (level) of Test : MBBS examination standards.
6 Subjects : All subjects of MBBS course.

  • 1. The Competent Authority will conduct the PGM AIET, declare the result and prepare the mark list.
  • 2. The merit list will be displayed on the notice board of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences Deemed University, Karad and will also be available on website at www.kimsuniversity.in


In case two or more students obtain an equal number of marks at the entrance test (i.e. in case of a tie) the following procedure shall be adopted for deciding the final merit:
If there is a tie between two or more candidates having equal marks at PGM entrance test, then -

  • First level : The candidate, having more marks in the final year of MBBS examination will be preferred, if the tie still persists, then-
  • Second Level : The candidate, having higher aggregate marks in all the university examinations of MBBS course will be preferred, if the tie still persists, then-
  • Third Level : The candidate, having more marks in the subject of his/her choice (for PG) at the university examination of the MBBS course will be preferred.


If the candidate wishes to verify the Answer sheet, a written representation in prescribed proforma should be submitted to the Competent Authority within 4 days of declaration of results along with DD of Rs. 1000/- drawn on any bank in favour of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences University, payable at Karad.


As per the merit list, the candidates, who qualify, will be called for counselling at Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences Deemed University, Karad. Counselling will be done by Counselling committee.

Counselling dates may be subjected to change and any change will be notified on the website and the Notice Board of KIMSDU.


The notification will be published on web-site and displayed on University’s notice board for the subsequent selection round, to be conducted by the Competent Authority for those vacant seats, where candidates have not joined.


Any candidate himself or his Authorized Proxy, if found obstructing the admission process or trying to influence in any manner or creating nuisance, shall be liable of disqualification from the admission process. The decision taken by the University shall be final and binding.


  • a) All the candidates shall attend PGM AIET at their own cost.
  • b) The candidates shall not bring cellular mobile phones, pagers, calculators etc. in the examination hall.
  • c) No marks will be assigned where there is over writing, scratching, double marking, or for multiple answers.


The Competent Authority reserves the right to add or reduce the examination centres. Due to unforeseen circumstances, during the conduct of PGM-AIET-2016 at a Centre(s) and in the contingencies like incidence of mass copying, leakage of question paper, entrance of unauthorized persons in the Examination centres/halls, natural calamities, riots, etc. rendering it impossible for the smooth conduct of PGM-AIET-2016, the Competent Authority may cancel the examination at such or all centre(s) and announce the new schedule for conduct of PGM-AIET-2016.


  • 1. Failure of the candidate in making full and correct statements in the application form and /or suppression of any information is liable for disqualification of the candidate, even at later date. Such a candidate will be debarred from the entire selection process and from pursuing the course of studies.

  • 2. It is the responsibility of every candidate to submit proper documents. Any attempt to submit documents, which are not genuine, will lead to cancellation of the admission of the candidate, forfeiture of the fees, deposits and expulsion of the candidate from the college by the Competent Authority or by his authorized official. The name of such candidate/s shall be deleted from the Merit list.

  • 3. The student while studying in the PG Course, if found indulging in antinational activities, unlawful activities or ragging in any form, contrary to the provisions of Acts and Law enforced by University, will be liable to be expelled from the University.

  • 4. All candidates selected for admission shall be subject to the disciplinary rules of the University.

The candidates have to give an undertaking for completion of the course and have to get Eligibility Certificates from the University. Students shall submit the Eligibility form at the time of joining the course. Relevant information is to be filled in the Eligibility form and necessary documents as mentioned in the form along with Xerox copies shall be attached. Original documents will be duly returned to the candidate after completion of the admission procedure
